The Spanish Fork/Salem Chamber strives to promote its members and the business community. Our SHOP LOCAL campaign gives local residents the opportunity and the privilege to support the local economy by putting its hard earned dollars back into the area in which they live, work and play. When a dollar is spent in a community, it generally revolves within that community seven times before it leaves. For example; when an employee is paid by a business they in-turn take some of that money and purchase from their local grocery store, who in-turn buys produce from the local farmer, who in-turn buys product from another local store, who in-turn pays their employees, who in-turn visits their local doctor, who in-turn buys space in the local media, who in-turn pay their employees, etc. Seven times the dollar changes hands with the residents and business owners of a community and that is a strong part of what supports and improves all of our lives.
