Keynote Speaker - Desmond Lomax, Senior Consultant | Arbinger Institute
Desmond Lomax is a clinical mental health therapist who worked in the field of law enforcement and corrections for over 20 years. He retired from the Utah Department of Corrections, where he worked as the community programming director, in early 2020 and joined Arbinger as a senior consultant.
At the Utah Department of Corrections, Desmond worked to expand treatment resources for those on probation and parole throughout the State of Utah. He has a passion for helping others and was led by this passion to the field of therapy and corrections. He thoroughly enjoyed facilitating outward mindset workshops within the Utah Department of Corrections and saw the benefits that outward mindset brought to the department and the community it serves.

Francis Gibson is the Administrator of Intermountain Healthcare’s Spanish Fork Hospital. He has worked in healthcare administration since 1998. Francis also serves in the Utah state legislature as a state representative for district 65, covering the south part of Springville, Mapleton and the north part of Spanish Fork. He was first elected to the legislature in 2009 and currently serves as the majority leader. Francis received an undergraduate degree from BYU and masters degrees from the University of Houston and Utah State University. While at BYU, Francis also played on the BYU football team.
Francis serves on the board of Children's Justice Center of Utah County, Utah Sports Commission as well as the new Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Provo.
He and his wife, Shiela, have four children, three sons and one daughter. They live in Mapleton. He loves boogie boarding in the ocean, camping and golfing with his sons and family and recently began riding dirt bikes with his sons. He looks forward to the day when he can retire and travel the country in a motorhome, visiting national parks.

Deidre M. Henderson became Utah’s ninth Lieutenant Governor in January of 2021. Prior to her election as the second-highest official of the State, she served for eight years in the Utah State Senate representing South Utah County. During her years in the Utah Senate, Lt. Governor Henderson gained a reputation as a strong conservative, a champion for government transparency, and a vocal advocate for women and families.
She served as chair of the Senate Rules Committee, the Revenue and Taxation Committee, and the Education Committee. Her efforts gained recognition by numerous civic groups including Legislator of the Year by the Fraternal Order of Police and Taxpayer Advocate of the Year by the Utah Taxpayers Association. In 2020 she was named a Libertas Institute Defender of Liberty.
