Congratulations to Mercedes-Benz of Lindon! We had a great turn out for their ribbon cutting. Thanks for all those who came and supported. Thank you to Costco for providing that beautiful cake. Also, a huge thank you to SFCN for filming.
Congratulations to Maple Creek Home Health and Hospice Business of the Month for February! Maple Creek Home Health and Hospice is built on experience and commitment. We want to be the most trusted Home Health and Hospice provider in the community and your home. As the very first Diamond Member of the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, Maple Creek in moving to this new level of recognition within the Chamber has done so Karma Karsten said, “Because we are local and we believe in what we do. We believe in the communities we are a part of; we believe in our employees,” she said. “And we believe in the care we give at end of life and know there is a better way to do it and that’s what we have to offer. And we know we have and have had some patients because of our membership in the Chamber, because of word of mouth, and because we are part of this great community.” Thank you for all those that came and celebrated this with us. Also, a big thank you to Macey's for providing the delicious cake.
Congratulations to our American legion post 68, our January business of the month! The American Legion, is a wartime veterans' organization formed in Paris on March 16, 1919, by members of the American Expeditionary Forces. It was chartered by Congress on September 16, 1919.
In addition to organizing commemorative events, volunteer veterans operating through The American Legion support activities and provide assistance at Veterans Administration hospitals and clinics. Our local American Legion Post 68 has been an invaluable asset to the Spanish Fork community. Not only do they regularly attend funerals for our local veterans they also visit each and every elementary school within Spanish Fork on Veterans day to honor our military personnel. The Legion is also one of the largest supporters of patriotism in the community. They place hundreds of memorial crosses at the cemetery on memorial day as well as host an heartfelt flag burning ceremony during Fiesta Days in Spanish Fork. What an amazing group of people, we are thrilled that they have chosen to be part of our Chamber of Commerce. What a fantastic group of men and women from our community. Thank you to everyone that came out to help us celebrate. And thank you to SF17 for filming, and to Macey's for the beautiful cake!
Congratulations to Sego Lily Soap, our December Business of the Month! Katrina Kimball is the owner and soapmaker of Sego Lily Soap. They formulate each batch of soap entirely by hand, carefully selecting each ingredient for the qualities it will add to the finished bar. They use the traditional Cold Process or Hot Process method of soapmaking. It's kind of like our great grandmother's used to do, but so much better! Katrina enjoys the sense of community and the Pioneer heritage we share with other's in our area. This is why she has chosen a Sego Lily to represent their family business. It symbolizes a source of life, faith, beauty and strength. The early Pioneers had to eat the bulb of the flower to ward off starvation when food was scarce. It was a sacred plant in Native American legend. The Sego Lily is a rare beauty that thrives in the our harsh desert land.
Thank you to SF17 for filming and also a big thanks to Maceys for providing this beautiful and delicious cake.
Congratulations again to Sego Lily Soap.
Congratulations Tabitha's Way November Business of the Month
Wendy Osborne the owner of Tabitha's way, saw a need for the people of Spanish Fork and put her whole heart into opening Tabitha's Way. With a lot of hard work, Wendy has done some amazing things for the people of Spanish Fork.
Tabitha’s Way got its start when God put it on Wendy’s heart that help was needed for the less fortunate in Utah County’s south valley. After much prayer and fasting, Wendy decided to quit her successful career in Telecommunications and start Tabitha’s Way.
Tabitha’s initially started in a small space at 200 North 37 West in Spanish Fork. After a little more than a year, Tabitha’s moved to its current location at 140 North Main Street.Today, Tabitha’s provides food and supplies to an average of 5,000 individuals monthly. They recognize that the ability to provide these services, come through the support of the community and by countless businesses.
Thank you to SF17 for filming and a big thanks to Macey's for our beautiful cake.
Congratulations to The Joint Chiropractic! The Joint was originally founded in 1999 by a Doctor of Chiropractic with a vision to transform the traditional, often misunderstood concept of routine chiropractic care by making it more convenient, friendly and affordable. Today, The Joint has grown to a nationwide network of more than 350 clinics and counting. We are glad to see that the owner of The Joint Chiropractic in Spanish Fork, Mike Starkey, has chosen Spanish Fork for one of its newest locations! As one of our newest Platinum members, we would like to welcome them to the neighborhood! Thank you to everyone who came out to help The Joint Chiropractic celebrate. We also want to thank Costco for the cake and SF17 for filming!
Congratulations to our October Business of the Month, Security Insurance! The mantra of this business pretty much says it all, "Security Insurance -- Your Hometown Insurance Agent". It was in 1963 that this chamber member established itself as one of the foundation stones in what is today's Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. And with office not just here in Spanish Fork, but Springville, and Payson too, this hometown feel of security in what is done in our daily lives has spread throughout the area.
Clark M. Swenson is not only the owner of Security Insurance, but has held many positions in the chamber and was one of the founders of the annual Spanish Fork Chamber Rotary Golf Tournament, that this year awarded more than 20 scholarships throughout Nebo District.
And if you are looking for insurance and whether your business is large or small, Security Insurance has the products to meet your needs. They realize that every business and industry is unique. But more than anything it has been Clark's pride in his community and dedication to Main Street and the Chamber that give Security Insurance its heart and soul. We want to thank Macey's for the delicious cake, and to SF17 for Filming!
Congratulations to Utah Avenue Insurance! Utah Avenue Insurance was started by Colin Logue in 2008 as a single agent insurance office in a small space on Utah Avenue in Payson. The agency has since grown to service hundreds of households with several agents, but has kept it's small-town roots. Utah Avenue Insurance specializes in Medicare and Individual Health Insurance plans. The agency's goal is to match each customer with the best plan for his or her needs. We had an amazing event, Utah Avenue insurance gave us all a tour of their new offices and we enjoyed getting to know the office dog Lucy!
Congratulations to Sip-N! Not only did we celebrate their ribbon cutting today, they were also chosen as our September Business of the Month! Sugar and spice and everything nice and even the kitchen sink can get mixed in to one of the great flavored drinks at Sip-N, 200 East 300 South, or some know it as that funky blue house with the drive-up window along Canyon Road.
Many Chamber members have already been introduced to that Sip-N cookie star that is a sugar cookie topped with pink addictive frosting. Indeed, the Davis and Stewart families were a great mix when they met and came up with the idea for Sip-N, that first opened in Payson, then SF, and is now in Provo on 900 East as well. We had an amazing turnout, and Sip-N was kind enough to offer everyone in attendance a drink and a treat (the peanut butter bar was amazing!). Thank you to SF17 for filming our event and to Macey's for our delicious cake!
Congratulations to the American Legion Post 68! One of the most unique members to ever join the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, Spanish Fork American Legion Post 68, was officially be welcomed into the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, at 6 p.m. with a red ribbon cutting ceremony and cake from Macey's right at the beginning of the Legion's activities for the evening.
The joining of the American Legion Post in Spanish Fork is unique, according to chamber executive director, Clark H. Caras, "Because in doing a bit of looking around the nation it's very hard to find two civic groups with such rich heritages, such and the Legion and the Chamber coming together for the betterment of the community. it's an honor for us to welcome Post 68 and its members into our ranks." Thank you to SF17 for filming our event and to Macey's for the beautiful cake!
